Skills Centre

Idsall's Skills Centre is a fantastic addition to the facilities on offer at Idsall School and enables us to offer work related, practical courses, giving qualifications that are recognised in the working environment. The courses present interesting and challenging opportunities for a number of practically mind students. All the courses are open to both girls and boys. To apply please click on the following link: Idsall Skills Centre Application Form.  This years, 'Skills Centre Open Day' is TBA and  interviews will take place for external applicants after the open day.

Construction

The UK construction industry employs over two million people. Skills gaps mean that opportunities exist for many highly skilled support workers as well as for those directly involved in building. The BTEC Level 2 First Certificate and Diploma in Construction are designed to introduce learners to working in the sector or prepare them for further study, such as a BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ. Students learn skills in carpentry & joinery, bricklaying and painting & decorating and are assessed at Idsall using both written and practical tests and continually assessed project work.

If you require advice or further information about 'Construction' at the Skills Centre, then please contact Mr G Northall on the following email: gnorthall@idsall.shropshire.sch.uk
