Financial Support

16-19 Bursary Scheme - The Government provides a £180 million bursary scheme to help the most vulnerable 16-19 year-olds continue in full-time education and the money is distributed by colleges. The scheme is made up of two parts: the most vulnerable 16-19 year-olds will be given guaranteed bursaries of £1,200 a year and schools and colleges will also have the discretion to award bursaries to support any student who faces genuine financial barriers to participation such as costs of transport, food or equipment. Please click Sixth Form-Bursary Application Form and see the attached forms below for further details.

Student Finance Information - Going to university or college is one of the biggest investments you can make. Do you know how much it is going to cost you and what help is available? The links below will help you find the information you need. Most students do not need to pay any tuition fees up-front, as these are covered by a Tuition Fee Loan. There are also Maintenance Grants and loans to help with living costs, such as rent, food, books, transport and entertainment. Further information can be found by clicking on Directgov.
