All Years Letter to Parents - OFSTED Inspection
A letter from our Headteacher regarding our recent Ofsted inspection.
Dear Parents and carers,
I write to you with news of the outcomes from our recent Ofsted inspection which took place on Wednesday 7th June 2017.
We were thrilled with the overall judgement of GOOD and especially pleased with so many incredibly positive comments which included:
"Teaching is good and improving.”
"Pupils value the support they receive from teachers, which they feel helps them to learn.”
“Relationships are strong. Teachers know their pupils and, in turn, pupils trust their teachers.”
“Leaders including Governors, have a clear understanding of the School’s strengths and weaknesses, and are well informed about pupil’s experiences in the school.”
“There is a strong culture of Safeguarding within the school through the effective systems that are in place.”
As a school we are not complacent and we are always trying to improve and as such I was very pleased that Ofsted also agreed with our school improvement priorities.
Each year the Ofsted inspection seems to get tougher and more forensic and I think this can be evidenced by the fact that out of our nine closest state Secondary Schools, six have been placed in ‘Special Measures’ at recent inspections. This is our third successive GOOD judgement and I believe this report is vindication of the incredible hard work and professionalism of all the staff, the hard work and behaviour of our students and the support of you as parents and carers.
As a school community we should be very proud of our fine school and it goes without saying that we will continue to strive to provide the best education we possibly can.
