Idsall Students Smash It – Against All Odds!

It’s official: Idsall School students have absolutely smashed it again this year proving that even when school budgets are tight, talent and tenacity shine through.

In a county facing the ongoing challenges of educational funding, Idsall is proud to be a beacon of resilience and excellence. The results across the board speak volumes, particularly for our students from forces families as we provide a stable, high-quality education for what can be a transient group of students.

Our corridors are alive today with laughter, cheers and a few happy tears, as students open their envelopes and look to the future, apprenticeships, college, and sixth form await. Many are choosing to stay with us at our Sixth Form, where we’re thrilled to be launching Open6, offering a broader range of subjects through both online and face-to-face teaching.

Michelle King, Headteacher, said: “Today is a proud day for our school community. These results reflect the hard work, perseverance, and ambition of our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff. In a time when schools across Shropshire are navigating real financial pressures, what shines through is the strength of our values and our belief in every young person. I’m particularly proud of the outstanding progress made by students who speak English as an additional language, they are a credit to our school. Whether students are moving on to apprenticeships, college, or staying with us in sixth form, they leave Idsall with the confidence and character to succeed.”

Idsall School – Proud. Positive. Powerful.
