When and How to Apply

Application Process 

  • Before you apply you need to choose which subjects you would like to study. On the application form you must place the subjects you wish to study in order of preference, up to a maximum of four subjects. Students will study three or four subjects in Year 12.
  • Both Internal and External students have to fill in the Online Application form by clicking here

Idsall Students

  • Click on the Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening and the Subject Videos to see what Idsall has to offer. 
  • After finalising your choice of subjects, complete the online application form by the deadline of 31st January 2021. Interviews will take place during the  following weeks. 
  • Applications will be accepted after the deadline but numbers may mean students are placed on a waiting list.
  • The interview dates for 2021 for Internal Students are TBC
  • Letters of acceptance or rejection will be sent to students individually, via email.
  • Students will receive further information giving details of enrolment.

External Students

  • Click on the Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening and the Subject Videos to see what Idsall has to offer. 
  • After finalising your choice of subjects, please complete the online application form – click here.
  • Applications need to be submitted by the deadline of 31st January 2021.
  • Applications will be accepted after the deadline but numbers may mean that students are placed on a waiting list.
  • The interview dates for 2021 for External Students are TBC. These will be carried out via telephone or Microsoft Teams. 
  • Letters of acceptance or rejection will be sent to students individually, via email.
  • The Year 12 Induction day is TBC.
  • Enrolment will be on GCSE results day.

All Students

At all stages of the application procedure, students will have access to the Head of Sixth Form, Head of Year 12 and the Tutor Team, and will be able to discuss their applications with them.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact one of the  team or phone school on 01952 468400

Final decisions regarding A Level subjects will be made during enrolment which will be on GCSE results day.

It may be possible to change subjects if numbers and timetabling permit.

There will be an Induction Day to which you are all invited- date TBC

Final Thoughts

Choosing a post 16 programme of study is a big decision which to a large extent will affect your life in terms of further and higher education and employment.

It is, therefore, important that you seek good guidance and advice so that you can make the right choices.

It is also important that you achieve good grades so that final push towards your GCSE exams is vital.  It will be hard work but it will be worthwhile.
