iSchool Parental Portal

iSchool VLE and Parental PortalYou’ve probably heard a lot about parental engagement and online reporting already, and about how recent research has shown that parental engagement is a decisive factor in determining learner achievement at any age. What really matters is that students feel their parents are paying attention, engaging in their children’s learning and care about their performance.

Although at Idsall we already provide progress and assessment information to parents three times per year, online reporting at Idsall means that parents will be able to have secure online access to information on their child’s progress, achievement, attendance, keep track of their homework and lots more. It will enable parents to get closer to and support their child’s learning, enabling them to work with teachers as partners in improving learning outcomes for their child. This will be achieved by making parts of our school information system available online.

In the Summer of 2012 we provided access to our new iSchool (Virtual Learning Environment) to students and some parents. After a successful pilot we have now launched the iSchool Parental Portal to all parents. Parents should have received their login details and information on how to access iSchool.  If this is not the case, please contact the school.

The portal can be accessed from home via https://ischool.idsall.shropshire.sch.uk/

Please use a Microsoft Windows based device and the browser "Internet Explorer 9" for accessing iSchool as other platforms are not as yet fully supported.
