Gifted & Talented

We aim to provide challenge and access to enrichment activities for Gifted and Talented students, encouraging those who have the interest and capability to explore beyond the bounds of the national curriculum. Students take cognitive ability tests in Year 7 and where appropriate are identified as gifted students. Their progress is monitored by a gifted and talented coordinator who ensures they are suitably stretched and challenged. Talented students in non academic subjects like PE, Drama, Dance, Art and music are also nominated and placed on the gifted and talented register. Their progress is also closely monitored and supported by the gifted and talented coordinator.
